I was a little disappointed I didn't know any of the artists though. The book is good. More an experience than a book- I took both pleasure and inspiration from it.

I liked this one and have given it as a gift to an artist-in-pause, hoping it will inspire her as it did me. Unlike the other book reviewed here with artists from around the world, you don't get information about the artists always a thrill to see accountants and health care managers making art!

Also, no annoying interview questions. You can just open the book and fall in anywhere. You quickly realize that people make art for many reasons.

It is so full of vivid, creative images, I find my spirit lifting and my mind begins playing with new ideas. This book is like kerosene to a fire - it turns a modest spark into a blaze.

Another aspect of this book is the opportunity it provides readers who want to pursue a particular style or find out more about a particular artist. It displays pages of creative art that combines the skills of each journal author with their ability to blend paints, stamps, chalks, inks, collages, photos and any medium that suits the artist while documenting their daily life or their current art. I was blown away on the number of high quality pages. Honestly, most pages could be framed and sold.

It was really inspiring to see what type of content people used, different media utilized, and the variety of page layouts.
